Position Overview

Netarx is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Sales Engineer to support our cybersecurity sales efforts by bridging the gap between complex technical solutions and client business needs. This role is ideal for a technically adept professional with a passion for cybersecurity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value. You will play a critical role in pre-sales engagements, solution design, and client relationship management—positioning Netarx as a trusted advisor in enterprise cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

For Technical Sales Engineers (5+ Years Experience)

  • Partner with Account Executives to engage prospects, understand client requirements, and design tailored cybersecurity solutions
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements to articulate Netarx’s value proposition
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify client pain points, cybersecurity risks, and architectural needs
  • Translate business and security requirements into comprehensive technical proposals and statements of work
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Netarx’s cybersecurity portfolio, including threat protection, network security, and cloud security
  • Build trusted relationships with client IT teams, security architects, and decision-makers
  • Support RFP responses, solution documentation, and technical scoping
  • Maintain accurate technical notes and opportunity details within CRM and collaboration platforms

For Entry-Level Cybersecurity Sales Engineers

  • Assist in the preparation of technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Support discovery calls by documenting client needs and assisting in solution mapping
  • Shadow senior engineers during client meetings, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions
  • Build foundational knowledge in cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, and cloud security platforms
  • Contribute to solution documentation, proposals, and pre-sales materials
  • Stay current on cybersecurity industry trends, Gen-AI threats, and emerging security technologies
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams on outreach initiatives

Required Qualifications

For Technical Sales Engineer

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or cybersecurity consulting
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, architectures, and best practices
  • Proven experience delivering technical presentations and leading solution design engagements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously

For Entry-Level Cybersecurity Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Foundational understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts
  • Strong interest in technical solutioning, customer interaction, and sales engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or selling cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, cloud security, or identity management
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent are appreciated but not required
  • Familiarity with CRM and collaboration tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Teams
  • Prior experience working with enterprise clients or managed service providers (MSPs) is a plus
